Spire Museum

The museum, as a map.

The same museum as the 3D walk, drawn flat. Every active project has an exhibit in the hall: pick one to read about it and go to it. No graphics card needed.

Numbers are exhibits. Each has a laptop, a turntable, a robot or the like on a marble dais, a painting of the real thing on the wall behind, and a panel to read. The two long walls are west (left) and east (right).

Rather walk it?

The same museum in 3D: wander the hall, go down the stairs into the vault, meet other visitors and deliver a parcel. It needs a browser with WebGL and a reasonably recent computer or phone.

The active works

The same five exhibits as a plain list. This is what the map's panel shows, too.

Delivery robot platform

The seller's web app, API and simulated platform for a fleet of delivery robots, with a Flutter robot and an ESP32 node

A full-stack system for the company that makes delivery robots. A Vue web app where the seller manages companies, robots, defects and replacements, a NestJS GraphQL API with its own MongoDB, a simulator that plays the customers' platform, a Flutter app that turns a phone or a PC into the robot, and an ESP32 node with an LED, a buzzer, a button and a motion sensor. • Seller PWA in Vue 3, in four languages, designed in Figma first
  • NestJS GraphQL API with its own MongoDB, subscriptions and a change log
  • A platform simulator, a Flutter robot and an ESP32 node that all speak one contract
  • About 970 automated tests, with whole-day simulations, and one command or Docker to run it

Posting in places that don't know you yet

Field notes on launching a tool into communities that have never heard of you

A long write-up of what happens when a solo, AI-assisted developer posts a working tool in communities that have never heard of them: what each place checks first, which removals were about form rather than substance, and what I would do differently.

  • Four communities and what each one checked first
  • Which removals were about form and which about substance
  • Written from the receiving end, with what I would do differently

Where the download number comes from

The figure on this site, 5,251 downloads, is not an estimate. It is the sum of the sources below, and each row says what it counts and how to check it.

SourceDownloads
GitHub releases live, as of 6 November 20265,251
Windows2,106
Android1,450
Linux1,356

Checksum files (not counted)439
Other1
The download_count GitHub keeps for every app file attached to every release, 208 releases in all, added up. GitHub's own page shows these counts one release at a time and never a total. Downloads of checksum files are listed but not counted. Check it on GitHub.
Total5,251

Only app files are counted. The 439 downloads of checksum files (people verifying a download) are shown above for completeness and are not in the total.

Installs from Google Play and the Microsoft Store are not in this number: GitHub cannot see them.

These are downloads, not people or installs: one person can download more than once.
